
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones (18-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) once again
put his name in the UFC's record books, and he survived a gruesome
injury to do it.
Jones earned a first-round TKO over Chael Sonnen (27-13-1 MMA, 6-6 UFC)
in the headlining bout aired of Saturday's UFC 159 pay-per-view event at
Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Jones assaulted Sonnen from the opening bell, repeatedly taking him to
the floor and smashing him with his trademark ground-and-pound assault.
Jones dominated the fight from start to finish, but afterward he
discovered that he dodged a very dangerous bullet: the champ snapped his
